We acquired the car in the fall of 2013 from Newmarket. The car was in good condition but no doubt some issues were starting to show in regards to the paint/body work.
We began looking for a restoration shop somewhere in our area and found “Body by Biggs” in Orillia where the car spent an entire winter getting an exterior restoration. All the glass/brightwork and the interior was removed, and the car was brought down to bare metal where it was found that the car had a tremendous amount of body filler to ‘sculpt’ the car and cover 50 years of rust and prior work.
George Biggs and his crew did an awesome job laying down a top notch House of Kolors black paint on a perfectly restored body with very little filler and all metal body.
My wife and I decided to do a Shelby GT350 look and chose white stripes, scoops and related badging to give it the look of a GT350. It was great to see the car come back to life and look absolutely awesome. We now own 3 Mustangs, including a 2005 GT with Edelbrock Supercharger and 2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones edition (only 500 ever made, only 4 in Canada).
